Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way. This page explains which ones SaaSCron uses. For everything else about your data, read the Privacy Policy.

Note: this text is written in plain language and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer chosen by the site owner.

How analytics works on this site

SaaSCron counts visits with Google Analytics 4. The counting runs through Cloudflare Zaraz, a tool that works on Cloudflare’s servers, not in your browser: no Google script is loaded on the page, and your browser never connects to Google. Zaraz sends page-view data to Google Analytics from Cloudflare’s side, after trimming your IP address and removing the query string from the page address. Google Analytics therefore sets none of its usual _ga cookies here.

What we use today

Name Type Set by What it does Lasts Needs consent?
__cf_bm, _cfuvid Strictly necessary cookies Cloudflare Protect the site from bots and attacks. Cloudflare sets them only when its security features need them. 30 minutes / until you close the browser No
cf_consent Consent cookie Cloudflare Zaraz Remembers the choice you made in the cookie bar, so we do not ask again on every visit. Holds only “analytics: yes” or “analytics: no”. Set only where the bar is shown and only after you press a button in it. 12 months No (it records your choice)
Browser storage entries whose names start with _zaraz_ Analytics (local storage and session storage, not cookies) Cloudflare Zaraz, for Google Analytics 4 Hold a random visitor ID, a session ID and counters that let Google Analytics tell visits apart and measure time on page. The ID is random; it is not built from your IP address or browser. Where the bar is shown, two further entries store your Consent Mode choice. Visitor ID and consent choice: until you clear browser storage. Session ID: 30 minutes. Counters: until you close the browser Yes, where the law requires it (see below)

We do not use advertising cookies. The site works with cookies and storage blocked.

Where we ask first

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and wherever we cannot tell which country you are visiting from, a bar at the bottom of the page asks for your choice on your first visit. Analytics does not run, and no _zaraz_ analytics entry is stored, until you press “Accept and continue”. “Decline” keeps analytics off. Either way, your choice is saved in the cf_consent cookie and the bar does not come back for 12 months. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to tell Google Analytics what you chose.

Everywhere else there is no bar, and analytics runs when you visit, in the privacy-friendly mode described above (trimmed IP address, no query strings, no Google script in your browser, no cf_consent cookie).

How to change your choice

  • In the regions with the bar: delete the cf_consent cookie for saascron.com in your browser. The bar appears again on your next visit, and you can choose again.
  • Everywhere else: block cookies and site data for saascron.com in your browser settings. The site works without them.
  • Google’s “opt-out browser add-on” does not apply here, because no Google script runs in your browser. The two methods above are the ones that work.

When advertising starts

SaaSCron does not show ads today. If we turn on Google AdSense:

  • Google will set advertising cookies to show and measure ads;
  • a single consent banner from a Google-certified consent tool will replace the bar above and ask for your choice where the law requires consent;
  • we will update this page, and its date, before ads go live.

Changes

We update the date at the top of this page whenever we change it.
