About SaaSCron
SaaSCron covers the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry: what SaaS is, how SaaS companies make money, how they are built, sold and secured, and what is happening in the market each day.
Our mission
Clear answers, primary sources, no hype. We want founders, operators, buyers and people new to SaaS to understand the topic quickly and to be able to check what we say.
The name comes from cron, the Unix tool that runs tasks on a schedule. We publish on a schedule too: every day at 07:00, 12:00 and 17:00 New York time, two evergreen explainers and one news story.
Who we are
SaaSCron is a small, independent publication founded and edited by Ricardo Machado. Ricardo decides what the site covers and reviews every article before it is published.
How we work
- Articles are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by the editor before publication.
- News stories link to their primary sources.
- Cover images are AI-generated illustrations, not photographs.
- Mistakes are corrected openly.
The Editorial Policy explains each of these points in detail, and the Corrections Policy explains how to report an error.
Languages
Every article is written in English. Readers can also read SaaSCron in Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Japanese. Those versions are translated with AI and checked automatically. The English article is the reference.
Money
SaaSCron does not show advertising today and does not use affiliate links. We plan to show clearly labeled ads in the future. Advertisers will never influence what we write. See Advertising and affiliate links in the Editorial Policy.
